Job description for Purchasing Specialist at Sharon Artisan Bakery
1. ABOUT SHARON BAKERY
Sharon Company is Vietnam’s premier artisanal bakery and food partner for international 5-star hotels and Michelin-caliber dining establishments. 2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with reliable local and international suppliers for premium baking ingredients, packaging materials, kitchen consumables, and bakery equipment.
- Negotiate competitive pricing, credit terms, delivery schedules, and contracts with suppliers while upholding Sharon’s uncompromising artisan quality benchmarks.
- Collaborate closely with teams to forecast material requirements, monitor stock levels, and prevent production bottlenecks or inventory wastage.
- Issue Purchase Orders, track shipment timelines, and coordinate timely inbound deliveries to the central production facility and regional hubs.
- Partner with kitchen and teams upon delivery to verify incoming ingredient quality, certificates of origin/ATVSTP/HACCP compliance, and handle supplier returns or discrepancy claims promptly.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, verify invoices alongside the Operation team, and provide regular cost analysis reports and price movement forecasts to management.
3. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS & PERSONA
- 1-5 years of professional experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain (experience in F&B, bakery production, hospitality, FMCG, or central kitchen environments is strongly preferred).
- Solid negotiation, cost analysis, and vendor evaluation abilities.
- Basic English communication skills to collaborate with foreign founder, international suppliers, and expat culinary experts.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with inventory management software or systems.
- High degree of integrity, meticulous attention to detail, organized mindset, and responsiveness under tight operational timelines.
- Humble, open-minded, transparent, team-oriented, and proactive in supporting cross-functional colleagues.
