Job description for Procurement Executive - Raw Material at Entobel
JOB BRIEF:
- Ensure the supply of raw materials for production is sufficient, timely, meets quality requirements, and is obtained at optimal cost through purchasing planning, supplier sourcing and negotiation, and close monitoring of delivery progress.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive raw material purchasing plans from the Planning Department.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers when required.
- Create purchase orders (POs), monitor and expedite delivery progress, and ensure raw materials arrive on time and in the required quantities.
- Coordinate with the Warehouse and QA/QC departments to inspect the quality of raw materials upon warehouse receipt and handle cases that do not meet requirements.
- Monitor raw material inventory and provide early warnings of shortage or overstock risks to enable timely corrective action.
- Update purchasing data.
- Periodically evaluate supplier performance, including price, quality, delivery progress, and service, using the available template.
- Update the Supplier List.
- Manage and archive purchasing records, contracts, and documents, including hard copies and scanned files.
- Coordinate with the Accounting Department to monitor payables and payment status for suppliers.
- Prepare periodic reports on purchasing status and raw material inventory for management.
- Comply with SOPs and company regulations throughout the entire purchasing process.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- College or university degree in Business Administration, Economics, Import-Export, Supply Chain, or related fields.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in raw material procurement, preferably in manufacturing or processing industries.
- Good negotiation and bargaining skills; ability to work with data and analyze costs.
- Proficient in Excel, with the ability to accurately consolidate and analyze data.
- Understanding of production processes, inventory management, and supply chain is an advantage.
- Careful, able to work under pressure, proactive, and highly responsible.
