Job description for Network Engineer at Antlabs
Requirements:
• Minimum 3-5 years of technical work experience in IT/Telecom industry with
following technical skills/experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in: Engineering (Computer / Telecommunications), Computer Science / Information Technology or its equivalent.
• Singapore residents are preferred, however foreigners will be considered.
Responsibilities:
• Provide technical deployments in all running projects & new projects as a team
member of Business Solution Department.
• Understand how to gather more technical requirements/information and recommend a solution.
• Must be able to do Linux system installation, end-to-end/pilot testing at staging/production environments, ANTlabs solution verification and fault escalation.
• Perform troubleshooting and patch fixes at a hardware and software level.
• Able to diagnose, isolate, troubleshoot, and fix technical issues under pressure.
• Ability to supervise/manage the implementation engineer in the role of 'project lead' will be preferable
• Engineer level, customer and partner support & system training.
• Team work & knowledge sharing is must as part of Business Solution department.
• Show responsibility on all assigned tasks even need to work after office hours (at
situations) in achieving tasks or timely project completion.
• Can do attitude, willing to go the extra mile; drive and determination.
• Demonstrated ability to execute and perform timely follow-up to ensure customer
satisfaction & instil quality in every aspect of job function.
• Any other matters as instructed by Supervisor (or) Project Manager when required
due to job nature.
• Overseas travel may be required for onsite implementation (duration - depends on
project/customer/onsite requirement).
• Good written and verbal communications skills.
Technical Skills/Experience:
• Install, configure, maintain and administer a stable RedHat Enterprise
Linux, administrator experience with Unix/Windows
• Scripting experience, specifically with Perl, PHP and bash
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, BIND, LDAP and other core technologies (RADIUS/RADIATOR)
• Prior working experience with Telecom Network infrastructure and back-end systems of DHCP, DNS, etc. will be preferable
• Install and manage virtual machines using VMware technology.
• Must have good working knowledge of the following, but not limited to: Apache 1.3.x
and 2.0, Tomcat, MySQL/Oracle, Exim, SSHd, Qmail, Bind, Nagios, etc.
• Knowledge of how to modify kernel during situations
• Strong understanding of network, server security practices and tools.
• Certification in Linux (RHCSA, RHCE) is highly desirable
• Certification in Networking and other technical related will be most preferable
