Job description for Network Engineer (Entry level) at Central Provident Fund Board

We are looking for individuals with passion and IT expertise, to help us improve the delivery of our systems and services. The Board’s IT systems support a high daily volume of financial transactions for CPF members. In addition to keeping the lights on, the Board also keeps pace with the external environment through innovation in its IT systems.
What you will be working on
You will be involved for day-to-day operations like organizing, installing, supporting and securing local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), network segments including design, implementation and maintenance to facilitate an uninterrupted flow of information by keeping our computer network running efficiently and effectively.
What we are looking for
- Passionate about delivering mission-critical network infrastructure with an eye toward maintenance, optimization, and security
- Academic or working knowledge with focus in network engineering, network infrastructure and networking concepts
- Good understanding of infrastructure devices, including switches, routers, wireless access points, controllers, and firewalls
- Enjoys problem solving where you will identify needs, monitoring performance, and troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues with network and systems
- Ability to perform routine/ scheduled network activities including upgrades, new implementations, migrations, and user support as needed
- Position will be on a 2-year contract
