Job description for Medical Specialist at HEDIMA Vietnam
Job Overview:
The Medical Specialist at HEDIMA connects clinical depth with strategic thinking, and turns both into work that reaches practice.
The role involves evaluating and interpreting scientific evidence, translating medical knowledge into accurate and evidence-based recommendations and content, and providing medical guidance to both clients and internal teams. The Medical Specialist works closely with Account, Strategy, Creative, Digital, and other relevant functions to ensure that project deliverables are scientifically sound, compliant with applicable requirements, and aligned with project objectives.
The role also supports engagement with healthcare professionals, Key External Experts (KEEs), medical societies, and other relevant stakeholders in the development and implementation of scientific programmes and healthcare initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Scientific Ownership
• Build the evidence base for assigned projects by conducting literature reviews and synthesizing evidence from primary literature, clinical guidelines, regulatory documents, and other relevant scientific sources.
• Critically appraise scientific evidence and identify key findings, evidence gaps, and relevant medical considerations.
• Develop and review medical and scientific content, including scientific narratives, articles, publications, scripts, symposium materials, and other project deliverables.
• Translate scientific evidence into clear, accurate, and evidence-based medical messages and recommendations aligned with project objectives.
• Ensure the scientific and medical accuracy of project deliverables and their compliance with applicable regulations, internal standards, and project requirements.
Medical Advisory
• Act as a consultant, providing expert medical perspectives to clients and internal teams as needed.
• Build and strengthen the strategic medical evidence supporting client products and projects.
• Equip internal teams with the medical reasoning they need to execute accurately.
Healthcare Ecosystem Engagement
• Engage Key External Experts (KEEs) and specialty medical societies on scientific programmes, advisory boards and symposia.
• Collaborate with physicians and pharmacists in building medical platforms and digital medical products within the ecosystem.
Requirements:
• Medical/pharmaceutical professional background (doctor or pharmacist).
• Good writing skills, with the ability to convey medical ideas clearly and understandably.
• Strong scientific expertise, good knowledge of healthcare systems.
• Highly collaborative, confident and strong communication skills.
• Good organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assigned tasks and work with minimal supervision.
• Good in English.
