Security Engineer — Onsite (L1)
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in IT/Computing, or equivalent work experience.
* Experience in technical support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident handling within security, network, systems, cloud, or related ICT environments.
* Provides Level 1 support for security alerts and incidents based on established SOPs and operational procedures.
* Performs initial alert triage, log/event review, basic investigation, and troubleshooting of security-related issues.
* Handles initial containment and remediation activities within defined procedures and escalation guidelines.
* Supports L2 teams by providing complete incident details, investigation findings, and troubleshooting history for escalated issues.
* Monitors security tools and assists with identifying recurring alerts, false positives, and operational issues.
* Performs basic security health and configuration checks according to approved procedures.
* Maintains accurate incident and troubleshooting documentation through ITSM/Ticketing Tools.
* Escalates complex, high-risk, or unresolved incidents to L2 with relevant technical findings.
* Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
* Willing to work onsite and on a shifting schedule, including weekends or public holidays when required.
Security Technology Experience
Experience with one or more of the following is required:
* DLP — Forcepoint / Trellix
* Endpoint Protection — Trend Micro / CrowdStrike / Trellix / SentinelOne
* Zscaler SASE
* VMware ESXi / Nutanix HCI
* Endpoint Management — ManageEngine / Ivanti / Tanium
* Network Access Control (NAC)
