Job description for LOGISTICS MANAGER at GenKin
- Provide and exceed customer service with problem-solving skills.
- Ensure that customers are highly regarded and receive exceptional service during the shipping and receiving of products to and from the warehouse.
- Manage and report sale, warehousing, logistics & distribution KPI’s, such as Logistics Spend, On Time Delivery, Load Efficiency, Expedite Costs, etc., against targets in monthly departmental meetings, or upon request.
- Develop, analyze, and maintain materials requirements planning and customer forecasts.
- Collaborate with the sales and customer operations team for planning and execution of clients orders.
- Refine workflow and offer recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations.
- Oversight of logistics vendor issues, coordination of expediting needs of plants, and new route set-up/development within the supply chain.
- Leverage systems, equipment and process redesign to drive continuous improvement in cost, quality and efficiency.
- Prepare accurate reports for upper management.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency across tools, databases, and reports.
- At least 4 years of experience working in the logistics field.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, business administration or management, logistics or related field.
- Proficient in English.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
- Comprehensive and current knowledge of company offerings and industry trends.
- Excellent leadership & management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
