Job description for Junior Full Stack Developer at PT Vylera Labs Indonesia
We are looking for an enthusiastic and curious Junior Fullstack Developer to join our engineering team. If you love building things for the web, enjoy solving puzzles, and are eager to grow your skills across both front-end and back-end development, you will fit right in. In this role, you will work closely with senior developers and product teams to build, test, and deploy new features. This is a highly collaborative position designed to accelerate your growth, giving you hands-on experience with production-grade code, modern development workflows, and real-world system architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Write clean, maintainable code to implement user-facing features and back-end logic based on wireframes and technical specs.
- Help investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs or performance issues across the stack.
- Learn and practice writing unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and stability.
- Actively participate in code reviews, design discussions, and pair programming sessions to absorb best practices from senior team members.
- Connect front-end interfaces with back-end services and third-party APIs.
- Keep technical documentation, setup guides, and code comments clear and up-to-date.
Skills & Qualifications
Technical Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in software development.
- Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. Exposure to a modern framework like React, Vue, or Angular is a big plus.
- Familiarity with a server-side language or runtime, such as Node.js, Python, Ruby, or Java.
- Basic understanding of how databases work (e.g., writing simple SQL queries in PostgreSQL/MySQL or working with MongoDB).
- Basic knowledge of Git and GitHub/GitLab workflows (cloning, branching, committing, and opening pull requests).
Soft Skills & Aptitude:
- A strong desire to learn new technologies, accept constructive feedback, and continuously improve.
- Resourcefulness when hitting a roadblock (knowing how to search documentation, debug code, and ask targeted questions).
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with a remote/hybrid team.
