Job description for General Accountant at HUFR COMPANY LIMITED
The General Accountant position is for a high-end wellness and hospitality brand in Ho Chi Minh City. Beyond standard financial reporting and tax compliance, the position carries significant responsibility for operational cost control, specifically managing food costs and inventory for on-site dining services. It requires a candidate with 2–3 years of experience and English proficiency who can thrive in a premium, 5-star service environment while maintaining rigorous oversight of supply chains and production costs.
Responsibilities:
a. Accounting and Finance:
- Perform accounting according to current regulations, ensuring valid, legal, and accurate documentation.
- Compile weekly management reports.
- Compile periodic financial reports (monthly/quarterly/annually).
- Verify and reconcile internal accounting data and tax reports.
- File V AT, personal income tax, corporate income tax returns, and prepare year-end financial statements.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable with suppliers and customers.
b. Monitoring Purchasing Plans and Raw Material Inventory Management:
- Monitor the planning and execution of procurement of raw materials, food, and kitchen equipment.
- Search for, negotiate, and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers.
- Manage raw material inventory, tracking incoming, outgoing, and remaining stock.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels to minimize losses and waste.
c. Kitchen Management and Food Costing:
- Collaborate with the head chef to establish ingredient quantities for each dish.
- Calculate and analyze food costs, proposing adjustments to selling prices or quantities to ensure financial efficiency.
- Closely monitor kitchen operating costs and business performance (food cost, labor cost, overhead).
- Assist in checking the quality of incoming raw materials and supervise the food storage, use, and preservation process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
- 2–3 years of experience in general and tax accounting.
- Preference: Candidates with experience in F&B, restaurants, hotels, or industrial kitchens.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
- Strong understanding of material consumption norms and menu costing.
- Ability to communicate and read documents in English.
- Honest, careful, and able to work under high pressure.
