Job description for Finance Officer at Earth Venture Capital

Earth Venture Capital is a global venture capital firm that seeks to empower deep tech solutions tackling climate change while having the potential to deliver significant financial returns. Believing that the next generation of unicorns will be climate deep tech startups, we aim to leverage the power of entrepreneurship to achieve these three climate goals: (1) to abandon petrol and diesel, (2) to store carbon and reduce carbon emission and (3) to switch to renewable energy.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Fund Administration
- Capital Calls (Drawdowns): Calculating the pro-rata share of capital for each LP and issuing formal Capital Call notices.
- Investor Portal Management: Managing secure data room where LPs can access their capital account statements, tax documents, and performance reports.
- Onboarding: Managing the subscription process for new investors, ensuring all documents are signed and stored, performing KYC/AML checks on all investors to prevent financial fraud.
- Performance Analytics: Calculating fund-level metrics such as IRR, TVPI, DPI, NAV,...
B. Legal, Contracts & Corporate Documentation Support
- Assist in preparing documents and coordinating with legal counsels in Singapore and Vietnam for legal and corporate matters, including entity setup, capital increase, inward remittances, investment licensing, and other related matters.
- Support the company in maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
C. Accounting
- Assist in data entry and basic documentation tasks.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, tax report
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper financial management and control.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including document checklists, employee information forms, SHUI, calculating salary, and proper personnel file storage and other HR operation.
Requirements
- Experience: 1 year of experience in accounting, finance, or operations
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields; basic knowledge of corporate legal matters.
- Skills: Detail-oriented, proactive, able to manage deadlines, maintain confidentiality, has a strong willingness to learn and continuously develop oneself.
