Job description for Content Writer at MEKONG COMMUNICATIONS
Objective
Execute social content based on communication and content strategies from Planning, translating strategy into social big ideas, execution-ready content systems and detailed formats deployable on relevant platforms.
Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate research, ideation, testing and optimization, while ensuring all content meets brand, creative and compliance standards, and supports business objectives, especially in social, creator and conversion environments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategy-to-Execution Content Development
• Translate communication and content frameworks from Planner into content pillars and series formats.
• Develop monthly/ weekly content plans (topic, angle, format).
• Build content details for social posts, scripts, and briefs for creators.
2. Social Big Idea & Execution Ideation
• Propose social big ideas by campaign phase, aligned with master communication concepts.
• Use AI-assisted trend and content analysis to detect emerging formats and develop execution ideas (mini stunts, community-driven storytelling, interactive mechanics, creator activations)
• Collaborate with Art, Design and Video teams to ensure the idea of integrity, platform-correct formats.
3. Platform-Native Optimization with AI-Supported
• Optimize content based on platform behavior and algorithm signals.
• Use AI dashboards and performance tools to identify drop-off points, compare format performance, and generate hypotheses for improvement.
• Recommend platform prioritization based on campaign objectives with clear strategic reasoning.
4. KOL / Influencer Co-Creation Support
• Develop creator briefs including key messages, creative directions, and brand guidelines.
• Use AI-supported creator and content analysis to shortlist creators, evaluate content fit, and anticipate audience response patterns.
• Track production, QC content pre-posting, ensure compliance and message accuracy.
5. Quality Control & Continuous Learning Loop
• QC on tone of voice, claim and category risks.
• Review performance data and AI insights to refine hooks, adjust angles, and improve format effectiveness.
• Document learnings and best practices to improve future content systems and support internal knowledge sharing.
Requirements
• 4+ years of relevant experience, preferably within an integrated marketing agency.
• Ability and comfortable working with agentic AI, including but not limited to framing prompts for conceptual outputs, draft exploration, tone & structure checking.
• Strong in concepting, storytelling, and writing crafts.
• Deep understanding of platform/ content dynamic that integrates concept/ idea development.
• Confident presenting and responding to senior clients.
• Proactive, deadline-driven, resilient under pressure. Strong self-quality control and iteration discipline. Open to continuous learning and platform evolution.
