We’re looking for a Content Writer that has it all. An eagle-eye for detail. One that can quickly and efficiently make changes to marketing copy, not only eliminating errors, but making the copy crisp and compelling. In this role, you will work with our Editor to ensure that all marketing copy is strong, effective, and error-free.
You should have a strong command of the English language and understand not only the laws of grammar and spelling, but also the fundamentals of writing for sales. You should possess a creative mind that can make good copy great, and spin headlines that sell. To excel in this role, you must be able to work under tight deadlines to meet the fast-paced eCommerce world. You should be able to work with different writers of different skill sets and make adjustments that turn people from curious to customers. Experience in copywriting and editing is essential in this role
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Writing and editing various types of sales copy that includes but not limited to; landing pages, blogs, email campaigns, social media captions, eCommerce websites
● Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images, and tone) for various brands
● Checking for and eliminating non compliant copy and false claims by becoming familiar with a large line of different products in different verticals
● Coming up with strategies to improve the editorial team as a whole
● Ensuring graphic design, video, and the associated copy work together in harmony to best showcase the product
● Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
● Edit, optimize and publish work from freelance writers
● Working knowledge of social media interfaces, digital graphic design, basic HTML and blogging platforms such as Wordpress is an asset

To be successful in this role, you must:
● A Bachelor's degree from an accredited University
● Have at least 2+ years of agency or in-house copywriting experience
● Have ample experience crafting and communicating compelling value propositions
● Possess a copywriting portfolio that demonstrates the skills required to capture an audience and motivate action (brand awareness campaigns, events, websites, email funnels, and other non-PPC digital campaigns)
● Be skilled in understanding and crafting tailored messaging to varied audience segments
● Understanding of SEO, SEM, compliance, media buying, social media platforms, and analytics tools an asset
● Bring an expert ability to write for readability, clarity, voice, tone, and branding
● Be detail-oriented, well-organized, and hyper-efficient with time management
● Exhibit excellent editing skills and the ability to provide and accept feedback without ego
● Have collaborated with marketing and creative teams to drive a campaign or product launch, playing a pivotal role in executing copy for the campaign
