Job description for Category Manager at RateS
- Degree in Marketing, Business Management, Fashion Design, Merchandising or related field
- Min. 4-5 years of working experience in e-commerce or fashion retail
- Strong experience in collaboration with local and overseas suppliers and distributors
- Adequate product sensibility and strong sense of product trend
- Good team player with strong sense of responsibility
- Familiar with e-commerce marketplaces or e-commerce retailers is a plus
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia. Mandarin is a plus
- Synthesize insights for the needs of Tier 2 & 3 consumers in Indonesia
- Plan and develop merchandising strategies that balance customers’ expectations and company’s objectives
- Research and provide new insights for new trends and products
- Overseeing the planning and implementation of merchandising strategies
- Analyse Category Product performance, including but not limited to analyzing product assortment and price competitiveness
- Analyse Category Sellers performance, including but not limited to analyzing Product type (Stock Keeping Unit), Sales, Seller activeness and other service qualities
- Analyse Category Overall Sales Performance both for daily sales as well as campaign sales.
- Analyse sales figures, customers reactions and market trends to anticipate product needs and plan product ranges/stock
- Interpreting sales reports and providing guidance on how to improve figures and customer engagement
- Collaborate with buyers, suppliers, distributors and analysts to negotiate prices, quantities and time-scales
- Monitor stock movement and consider markdowns, promotions, price changes, clear outs etc
- 4 - 5 years prior experience in marketplace / e-commerce company.
- 4 - 5 years of experience in managerial position
- Tertiary education specializing in Visual Arts, Design or equivalent
- Thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving high growth environment, balancing multiple challenging priorities on tight deadlines
