About the Job
The position at Supernova is designed to be an integral part of a cross-functional Operations team charged with enabling Supernova’s growth objectives by delivering a unique logistics solution focused in owning all aspects of transportation.
This role will work closely with both internal logistics functions as well as 3PL providers to implement operational solutions. The ideal candidate will have a complete obsession for quality, continuous improvements, and customer satisfaction. You thirst for a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment and maintain high energy levels in a constantly changing environment as you share our core values.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of international freight and forwarding to ensure on time delivery and error free customs clearance
- Maximize duty savings through use Free Trade / Duty exemptions where applicable to minimize logistics lead time and cost
- Manage relationship with global shipping partners and drive optimization of terms and conditions
- Monitor freight forwarder performances
- Conduct monthly and quarterly 3PL/Freight forwarder review sessions
- Proactively engage shipping partners in RFQ, optimising Supernova’s shipping cost
- Track and update the status of all planned and live shipments closely. Escalating issues when required
- Highlight opportunities to optimize Supernova’s global shipping network
- Organise priority parcels across our global offices and partners
- Work closely with production and fulfillment team to ensure goods are collected and delivered as per schedule
- Manage and upkeep relevant shipping documentation across all of Supernova’s product categories - ensuring customs compliance
- Maintain and create HS code when necessary
- Manage and validate all invoices related to freight
- Continuous improvement of our General Shipping Instructions and all necessary SOPs internally and externally
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or ability to demonstrate equivalent
- 5 - 6 years proven experience with e-commerce, supply chain, and freight management
- Must be able to use Excel proficiently
- Experience in a fast-growing startup is a plus
