Job description for Accounting Staff at Penguin Secret Agency PTE, LTD
Job Description:
● E-commerce Revenue & Cost Management: Monitor and track global cash flow across multiple sales platforms (Shopify, Amazon, WooCommerce, etc.); manage and reconcile platform fees, digital advertising spend (Facebook Ads, Google Ads), shipping/logistics fees, and production costs.
● Tax Compliance & Reporting (MANDATORY): Prepare, declare, and submit timely tax filings, including Value Added Tax (VAT), Corporate Income Tax (CIT), and Foreign Contractor Tax (FCT) where applicable.
● E-commerce Bookkeeping & Reconciliations: Maintain accurate accounting ledgers and perform daily/monthly reconciliations of transactions from international payment gateways (PayPal, Stripe) and corporate bank accounts.
● Accounts Payable & Profitability Control: Reconcile accounts payable and outstanding balances with suppliers and fulfillment agents; perform SKU-level and campaign-level Profit & Loss (P&L) analysis to evaluate profit margins.
● Financial Advisory & Cost Optimization: Assist the management team with cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and propose data-driven solutions to optimize operational costs and maximize financial efficiency.
Job Requirements:
● Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked within the E-commerce sector.
● Tax Expertise (MANDATORY): Proven hands-on experience in tax reporting and compliance (VAT, CIT, and Foreign Contractor Tax).
● System Proficiency: Proficient in using standard accounting software and highly skilled in advanced Excel / Google Sheets for financial modeling and data analysis.
● Industry Knowledge: Practical experience working with international payment
processors and gateways (PayPal, Stripe).
● Preferred Qualification: Prior experience as an accountant for Dropshipping, Print-on-Demand (POD), or cross-border e-commerce business models is a significant plus.
● Language Skills: Good command of English is a strong asset (for reading international platform statements and guidelines).
