Job description for 2D Art Design at CHOO Communications
As a Senior 2D Artist / 2D Supervisor, you will be responsible for creating high-quality graphic designs for events, branding, and marketing materials. You will work closely with the Art Design team and other departments to develop creative visual concepts that enhance brand experiences and event environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
For Senior 2D Artist:
- Develop visual identities, event key visuals, branding, and marketing materials.
- Create event collaterals such as banners, backdrops, invitations, social media assets, and presentations.
- Work closely with the 3D team to ensure seamless integration of 2D and 3D elements.
- Collaborate with Project and Creative teams to develop design concepts aligned with project goals.
- Ensure designs adhere to brand guidelines while maintaining high creativity and innovation.
- Stay updated on graphic design trends and new techniques to enhance visual storytelling.
For 2D Supervisor (In addition to Senior 2D Artist responsibilities):
- Lead the 2D design team, ensuring high standards of creativity and execution.
- Oversee design workflows, providing guidance and feedback to team members.
- Work with Art Directors to develop visual strategies for events and campaigns.
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.
- Optimize design processes to improve efficiency and quality across projects.
- Research and implement new design techniques, tools, and best practices.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator,...).
- Ability to conceptualize and visualize ideas through hand-drawn sketches to guide both 2D and 3D directions.
- Strong understanding of layout, typography, color theory, and branding.
- Experience designing event key visuals, stage graphics, marketing collaterals, and digital assets.
- Knowledge of production materials, printing techniques, and finishing processes (e.g., fabric printing, backdrops, LED screens, signage materials, etc.).
- Ability to conceptualize and execute design ideas that align with event themes and brand identities.
- Experience in event agencies, advertising, or branding design is preferred.
- For 2D Supervisor: Proven experience leading a 2D design team and managing multiple design projects.
