Nalagenetics Software Engineer (Mobile) Intern 工作職責
Position Overview:
We are hiring a software engineer interested in healthcare. The person will play a key role in maintaining and developing Nalagenetics’ patient facing mobile application. The ideal candidate has completed projects in mobile application development using react native, performed usability testing, and reiterated product based on client feedback to increase usability
Key responsibilities:
• Plan development and testing schedules of app
• Build intuitive and appealing user interfaces
• Develop features for patient-facing mobile app and supporting systems
• Establish best practice for development, testing, deploying & tracking within react native code base
Experience required:
• 2 years / start-up environment experience (preferred)
• React Native with strong understanding of ES6, ES7+ JavaScript syntax
• Familiarity with React hooks / function components
• Experience with Redux and Redux-Saga, React Navigation or other navigation tool for RN, Firebase (Push Notification, Analytics, etc)
• Able to integrate from RestAPI backend to mobile apps
• Having deep knowledge of Kotlin, Swift and experience using native build tools like Xcode and Gradle (Android Studio)
• Good troubleshooting skills and UI/UX design
Minimum education qualification:
• S1/Undergraduate minimum: in computer science, IT

Our name stems from the word Nala, which means the trunk of a tree in Sanskrit (I'm Indonesian, and so is my co-founder Astrid). As genomics application companies become more common, we wanted to create one that drives impact crucial to life and wellbeing, like, well, the trunk of a tree.
Since then, we have partnered with the government of Indonesia to test leprosy patients in Papua, to ensure patients do not suffer from Dapsone Hypersensitivity Syndrome (DHS) when taking medications. We also are preparing for pilots with hospitals by the end of this year. We are venture-backed and closely working with Singapore's A-STAR.
