Skills
Job description for Product Manager(ID) at Xendit
- Own an experimental Mobile Store product and take it from 0 to 1
- Work with Engineering & Design to scrappily ideate, build, and iterate brand new products that solve our merchants ’mobile-related pain points
- Move faster than conventional product teams, e.g. launch MVP in < 2 weeks and validate a hypothesis in 2-3 months
- Deeply understand how our e-commerce/digital merchants run their store operations, conduct customer discovery research (i.e. talk to 30+ merchants yourself), validate concepts, and identify tangible opportunities for how we can add value to their businesses
- Rapidly tackle low-hanging fruit first, then lay the groundwork for progressively bigger bets that reinforce Xendit as a best-in-class mobile app for running your business on-the-go
- Define and own success metrics for your initiatives (i.e. growing usage 30% month-on-month), continuously iterating towards your performance goals. Also define failure metrics that decide when to move on to the next version
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g. Inbound Sales, MBO, Store Channels, Mobile, Checkout, etc.) to drive the end-to-end success of your projects from through the stages of initial conception, launch, and scale
- Do whatever it takes to make Xendit succeed
- You have 3+ years of B2C/B2B mobile product management experience, including 0-to-1 product development. Ideally a successful track record for taking mobile and/or SaaS products all the way from a blank canvas to fast-growing market adoption
- You have a passion for talking to merchants regularly and helping them succeed
- You thrive in ambiguity and a very quickly changing environment
- You are a creative product thinker, who can bring a fresh approach to how products can break through and succeed in the marketplace
- Insatiably curious and inquisitive (asking “why?” a lot), obsesses over details
- You have strong product vision, instincts, and empathy for the customer experience
- You do whatever it takes to make your product and team successful whether that means writing a QA plan or hunting down the root cause of a user’s frustration
- You take complete ownership of your product. The buck stops with you
- You not only welcome feedback from customers and teammates but you thrive on it
- You are a skilled communicator, can champion a product without authority, and work well with a breadth of stakeholders including engineering, business people, and C-level executives
- You’ve ever started or run a business before
- Solve for the customer first: You build what customers want. You think about what is right for customers, not what is easiest for you
- Demonstrate mastery of honey badgery: You make ambitious goals. Then execute…no matter what stands in the way. When knocked down, you get up
- Take on challenges willingly and can be trusted to execute: You can be trusted to get things done right the first time quickly. You hit your deadlines
- You’re like us: You smile a lot, think work is fun and don’t take yourself too seriously. You measure yourself against the best and believe feedback is the breakfast of champions. You follow the golden rule.
- You’re remarkable: People naturally talk about how awesome you are. If we can’t find someone who raves about you then it’s unlikely we will too.
