Job description for Procurement/Purchasing Executive at Ascendtech
- To receive and process Purchase Order from customers to vendors, ensuring correct prices, quantities and dated in the orders.
- Negotiating with customers and supplier for the delivery dates fulfilment.
- Arrange import/export shipment with the forwarders, including preparation or permit and bookings.
- Liasing with warehouse and import/export forwarder and trucker for the movement of cargoes.
- Manage the shipping cost by negotiation with forwarding service providers for best costing.
- Verification and submission of invoices for payment for the prices and cost of the service providers. To monitor payment.
- Manage the customer forecast information and providing timely forecast to project team by advising the best shipping route.
- Diploma in Economic or Business Management
- 2 to 3 years’ experience
- Analyse, monitor and forecast spare part inventory levels.
- Award contracts in accordance with purchasing best practices.
- Coordinate local and overseas delivery.
- Familiar with shipping from Europe and China
- Able to write and speak Chinese
- Generate monthly purchasing report for management.
- Initiate and lead cost saving initiatives.
- Liaise with local and overseas suppliers.
- Maintain and update the approved supplier list.
- Monitor and keep optimal spare parts inventory levels.
- Review aging inventory on a monthly basis.
- Source, evaluate and qualify suppliers.
