WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR:
We are now looking for a dedicated, permanent Part Time Retail Visual Merchandiser.
The ideal candidate should be someone who can ideally speak both English and some Mandarin or Malay. She/he should understand basic Internet skills such as Google/Excel sheet and Email usage. The person must be able to commit about “2 half-days” a week on a 4.5 hours per half dayschedule (somewhere between 12:30pm to 9:30pm window, and during Thursday to Sunday period). We are not particularly looking for students looking for a part time job. This person should ideally be a mature adult, possibly between 45-60 year old, and looking for a freelance simple job. The job requires the person to visit various stores assigned each week to inspect retail store displays, visual merchandise, stock count, and account for stock movement. The person is expected to be fairly meticulous, organized, and has a responsible attitude, as there is much self-directed autonomy in the job role. The pay rate is $50 per half day work (or MYR150), inclusive of transport allowance.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Duties include ensuring the store is appropriately stocked with merchandise, well maintained in nice visual display, and duly stock counted and recorded weekly.
Occasionally recommending the appropriate suitable product to customers if inquired.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Someone who has at least 1 year of retail experience preferably in jewellery, houseware, homeware, accessories, or furnishing consumer retail sector.
Someone who is energetic, relational, responsible, and fairly well groomed.
Familiarity with basic sales and customer service skills.
Great communication abilities with a customer service attitude
