• Learn and understand market trends, key leading indicators and become proficient in understanding complex market dynamics.
• Formulate and articulate thoughts and insights on the market. • Develop skills to make buying and selling decisions • Ensure customers stay within Scoular Trade Finance’s counter party limits.
• Learn and understand Scoular's risk management tools.
• Become proficient in Scoular systems, tools, reports (CTRM, etc.).
• Assist and/or lead execution logistics planning and strategy. Includes fundamental knowledge of container execution and commodity arbitrage.
• Knowledge of systems and procedures that document and support execution.
Customer Relationship Building:
• Develop and maintain the extensive and varied business relationships in the market place.
• With support of their manager, start to build effective, on-going interactions with both current and potential customers. • Build trading rapport with producers and end users.
• Contract management including reconciling balances with customers.
• Be responsible for capturing supply in the Asia-Pacific region. • Interact with customers, express ideas, formulate and share opinions.
• College degree in business related field or equivalent experience.
• Exceptional customer service skills and relationship building capability.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly self-motivated, committed to finding creative solutions to every problem.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to travel, as needed.
• 1-2 years of merchandising experience.
• Inexperienced individuals with an exceptional level of drive and self-motivation, coupled with a high-level of attention to detail, will be given consideration
• Demonstrated understanding of commodity markets and flows.
• Knowledge of commodity trade rules and norms.
• Demonstrated aptitude in accounting and financial practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of these languages : Vietnamese, Thai, Bengali and Burmese are highly encouraged to apply for this role
