Job description for Gelato & Pastry Chef at Origami
Job Requirements:
• Participation in creating new gelato flavors, gelato cakes and pastries.
• Production of gelato, pastries, baked goods and related desserts as required
• Preparation of ingredients and handling of kitchen equipment
• Managing inventory levels
• Forecasting and ordering, liaising with suppliers
• Managing production schedule and team schedule
• Conforming to the company’s hygiene standard
Basic Requirements:
• Working knowledge of gelato production, baking techniques and the pastry-making process
• Possessing either a certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking (or any relevant field) or proven experience in F&B industry.
• Able to work weekends & public holidays
• Holds a valid Food Safety & Hygiene Course certificate.
• Only hiring Singaporeans/Singapore PR or valid work pass holders.
Skills & Abilities
• Proactive, motivated and reliable, with a keen attention to detail
• Punctual, good working attitude and able to work under pressure
• Good time management and discipline to ensure optimal work performance
