The Front-end Developer is responsible for implementing sophisticated, interactive, portable, and accessible web solutions. You’ll work with our designers and developers in designing and hand-coding bespoke front-end interfaces.
You’ll need to be a highly motivated, reliable, detail orientated, and driven individual who is passionate about producing high-quality work. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment and be ambitious enough to participate in building a high-profile end-product.
–Development of front-end projects according to the approved specification and pre-determined standards (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WCAG, etc.)
–Ensure the quality of project, ensuring that all risk management process is implemented, appropriate software engineering principals are applied during development
–Develop and apply appropriate testing procedures to ensure that websiteperforms correctlyandmeetscross-browser requirements
–Work with QAand Project Lead towards an iterativesolutionfor the client
–Participate in daily meetings: providing updates andidentifying progress blockers
Qualifications, experience & skillswe are looking for:
–6+ years of commercial experience of the following is required (expert knowledge of):
- HTML5, CSS, and LESS/SCSS and standard Web APIs (e.g. the Document Object Model);
- JavaScript, AJAX, JavaScript UI component frameworks (e.g. jQuery UI)
- Implementation ofresponsive design / mobile front-end development; and
- Image manipulation through either Photoshop,Adobe XDor GIMP.
4+ years of commercial experience of the following is required:
- Website testing experience with cross-browser compatibility
- Knowledge of accessibility best practises, includingW3CWCAG 2.1
- Web security vulnerabilities and best practises (e.g. validation, escaping, and encoding)
- Good understanding of different image types and when to use them (e.g. JPEG & PNG).
