Finance Intern
We are looking for a driven individual who is proficient with generally accepted accounting standards and financial regulatory requirements. Internship Duration: 3 Months / 6 Months
Your primary focus will be to:
- Assist in ensuring that the accounts of the company are prepared and kept properly, and accounts are filed on a timely basis.
- Assist the Financial Controller in implementing and executing systems of control, including budgeting, analyses, as deem fit
- Ensuring system of documentation is well maintained
Who You Are
- You are currently pursuing a Degree/Diploma in Finance or Accounting Field
- Understand the principles of accounting and knows the principles of preparing financial statements
- You pay strong attention to detail, good with numbers, and thrive in changing environments.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- You possess strong sense of accountability and integrity
Good To Have
- Prior internship experience in finance function of a marketplace/e-commerce company; or accounting firm that worked with marketplace/e-commerce clients
- Thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving high growth environment, balancing multiple challenging priorities on tight deadlines
- Basic knowledge of SQL and understanding of database
Responsibilities:
- Taking ownership of daily finance control operations, including and not limited to documentation and financial data updates
- Ensuring all transactions from each department are properly documented, kept, and traceable to source
- Oversee all aspects of financial and administration management and ensure that company policies and procedures are effectively implemented
- Assist in billing, payments to suppliers, and proper filing of documents
- Assist in bank reconciliation, expense management, and reporting
- Handle corporate tax, GST filing and VAT matters, and other reporting requirements
- Performing other ad-hoc duties as and when required
