  • Being role-model for Telio’s culture and values
  • Building top-notch financial workforce for Telio, with clear performance management framework with appropriate reward schemes
  • Responsible for defining Telio's financial projection/plan with target of funding optimization, accompanied by a robust reporting system, being able to detect any red flag in financial matters as well as risk mitigation

Summary
Mom and pop' shops are the backbone of Vietnam’s retail sector and play an important role in the country’s economy. Telio, one of the startups in the first cohort of Surge, connects these small retailers with brands and wholesalers on a centralized B2B e-commerce platform that delivers more choice, better pricing and more efficient logistics. Telio's mission to power small businesses through technology, our main vertical is FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) and we are researching to open new verticals (expected to be footwear and non-electronic housewares)

Our story
Vietnam's large retail landscape is still dominated by traditional and fragemented trade channels. According to a report by Kantar, small ‘mom and pop’ street shops account for over 60% of FMCG sales in urban areas and over 90% in rural Vietnam. Challenges arise when the owners have to face 3 major problems: 1 - They sell a very diverse items so they usually need to contact ~50 - 80 differend wholesalers and distributors to manage their supply and inventory; 2 - The lack of transparency on pricing, quality and the availability of these products as the market is so fragemented and 3- the matters related to inventory: delivery time is not flexible and they have to pick them up by themselves.
Our Founders came up with the idea to solve all those problems: a central platform (website and mobile app) that connects sellers and retailers, removes multiple contact points and provides full transparency on pricing, product quality and availability with commitment of delivery time and logistics support: means of transportation and warehouses.

- Monthly revenue: >100 billion VND
- 02 cities served (Hanoi - Headquarter with 02 in-house warehouses | HCM City with 07 in-house warehouses) and expanding
- Over 6000 retailers and over 650 SKUs from many big brands: Unilever, P&G, Mondelez, Coca-Cola, Suntory Pepsi-Co and promoting new brands in form of 3P business
