We are looking for a particularly talented engineer to help us solve one of the most critical (and expensive) challenges faced by a modern technology business: We're looking for a Director of Compensation and Benefits to lead compensation planning for our company globally. To succeed in this position, you will be deeply experienced in using technology and mathematics to design efficient solutions to complex problems. You will love to build things. You will intimate closely with the experience of software professionals. In short: You will not be an experienced HR professional. You will be an engineer by training and experience.

Responsibilities and Duties
Job Duties:
- Take overall responsibility for compensation planning across all levels of the company
- Design and implement benefits packages in all the different countries in which inline has a corporate presence
- Ensure full compliance with national and local regulations for compensation, health & retirement benefits, and paid/unpaid time off
- Play a key role in revenue and P&L forecasting and management
- Take ownership of inline's equity award programs
- Lead strategy in the most important component of one of today's most challenging KPI: talent acquisition and retention.
Qualifications
Background requirements:
- At least 8 years of professional experience as a software developer. (Mandatory)
- Development experience in Java / Java EE / J2EE, C#.NET, R, Python, or C++
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Physics
- Graduate education in Economics or Statistics (preferred), or MBA
- Experience with R, Pandas, Matlab, Mathematica, SPSS, SAS, or Stata
- Highly numerate and capable of independently identifying key metrics and generating statistical forecasts & reports
General requirements:
- A burning desire to build a great company from the bottom up, and leave your mark therein.
- Experience working in a small team and taking ideas from design to completion.
- A personal fixation on using the best tool for the job, rather than any old tool that might happen to be lying around.
- Iterating towards greatness is something you enjoy.
- A need to build things, out of code or out of people and the relationships between them.
Location & Interview process
- Most candidates will go through a screening interview plus one or two rounds of technical interviews.
- Expect a challenge which you'll need to complete independently.
- This position is available in Singapore or Hong Kong only.
