Job description for Pattern Maker at BIASA Group
Who's we are looking for?
We’re looking for an experienced team-player pattern maker who can translate sketches and design models into factory patterns using CAD or manual measurement techniques. Must have knowledge of a wide range of fabrics and categories, knowledge of draping, and working on manual and/or CAD.
The Patternmaker is responsible for bringing designs to life in a tangible manner by working closely with the Design and Sampling teams while creating and maintaining the garments' fit, form, function, and specifications. The main responsibility is to create the paper templates and design the final pattern for production patterns that reflect standard fit and specs while executing Design's vision and ensuring patterns are ready to be adapted for bulk production.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years’ experience in manual patternmaker and CAD
- Excellent patternmaking and grading skills for womenswear, menswear, and kids in various woven fabric types
- Experience in providing patterns manually
- Exceptional understanding of garment construction and fitting
- Knowledge of stitching, measuring, cutting, and designing patterns in the material required
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Task-oriented, detail-oriented, and organized
- Maintain a positive, encouraging attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible in terms of changing priorities and dealing with multiple projects simultaneously
- Able to work with internal and external departments, including but not limited to engineering, production, and off-site manufacturing facilities.
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word
- Intermediate skills in English (listening, writing, speaking, and reading)
