Job description for Merchant Business Development Representative at Try Smart Bite Sdn Bhd

As a key member of our Vendor Business Development team, you will be responsible for acquiring prospective vendors by initiating phone and email conversations, presenting Smartbite and to set meetings with key decision makers.
You will work closely with the Senior Key Account Manager to execute the company's strategy, including generating leads, obtaining scheduled meetings, pitching the SmartBite platform, signing deals and to help nurture prospective vendors.
This role will require an analysis and strategic planning to target potential vendor partners. You will need to be a great listener, strong communicator, as well as a curious and creative problem solver.
Responsibilities:
- Accelerate the vendor growth through selling SmartBite's core products and services
- Conduct lead generation / prospecting, cold calls and outreach emails, walk-in to the restaurants and also use creativity and experience to strategize additional ways to engage prospect vendors
- Convert outreach to schedule meetings and pitches Smartbite platform
- Onboard new vendors and managing the whole vendor acquisition process.
- Collaborate with the vendor team to develop strategic by providing feedback/recommendations to the management
- Manage a portfolio of vendors and exceed goals for retention, re-activation, development and maintenance.
- Work closely with Operation and Sales teams to achieve maximum client satisfaction
- Manage lead pipeline and exceed target given by working independently
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- B2B experience and corporate sales is preferable.
- Experience with lead generation and marketing automation software, including proficiency in Hubspot or sales force, is highly preferred. Zoom Info.
- Must possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and be skilled in "Selling via Phone" successfully.
- Must be experienced in selling technical and integrated IT premium-priced solutions, be a successful prospector, and be able to independently develop new prospects in a highly competitive environment.
- Must have experience selling technology-based product and software solutions utilizing ROI and other value-added selling approaches, familiarity and experience with large ticket long sales cycle technology sales items, competitive –assertive personality with the ability to operate effectively independently in high-pressure, high-risk sales environment.
- Show a proven track record of achieving sales lead gen and appointment quotas
- The ability to multi-task daily projects and commitments and employ structured selling methods is required.
- Must have strong inner drive and self-discipline, proficiency in EXCEL, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
