Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience in the start-up/tech industry with some exposure to public sector and/or education work
- Have the ability to break down complex problems, identify use cases and solutions is able to work with design/research and data teams to identify user pain points/opportunities and recommend product solutions
- Demonstrates a nuanced good knowledge of data, design & research, software engineering and business processes and partners effectively with those teams
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data, metrics, and user-centric principles to justify requirements/features
- High attention to detail, and proven ability to manage ambiguity in a high-paced environment
- Understanding concept and architecture of Cluster Database of MariaDB, MongoDB, Singlestore / memsql
- Understanding backup and recovery concept of Database (Full Backup, Incremental Backup, PITR).
- Understanding concept of building effectiveness of SQL query (Tuning and Security).
- Ability to use multiple scripting.
- Experienced on Linux platform
- Familiar on Docker and Container (Openshift)
Job Description
- Installing and upgrading the database server and application tool
- Allocating system storage and planning storage requirements for the database system
- Modifying the database structure, as necessary, from information given by application developers
- Enrolling users and maintaining system security
- Ensuring compliance with database license agreement
- Controlling and monitoring user access to the database
- Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database
- Planning for backup and recovery of database information
- Maintaining archived data
- Backing up and restoring databases
- Generating various reports by querying from database as per need
- Managing and monitoring data replication
- Acting as liaison with users
- Providing required documentations
