Job description for Associate Consultant at Zero One Group
Zero One Technology is looking for a Associate Consultant to join our team!
You will be working in a small and close-knit team to help our clients in their technology ventures. This is the perfect opportunity for those of you who would like to grow in becoming bridges between business and technology.
We invite you to apply for those eager to onboard this journey with us.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis of our clients’ technology setup, business context, and the industry of concern.
- Building valuable technology-driven strategies based on information collected above.
- Delivering reports and presentations on findings and roadmaps to clients in a clear and digestible manner.
- Developing professional relationships with clients to collaboratively build technology-driven business solutions.
- Continuously improving internal processes to deliver optimised and efficient outputs for clients.
Requirements:
- Active willingness to learn, especially about technology solutions.
- Adaptable to change.
- Initiative in personal development, both in soft and hard skills.
- Creativity and resourcefulness in problem-solving.
- Full professional fluency in English and Indonesian.
Nice to have:
- Understanding of computer science concepts with proven track record whether through background in undergraduate-level education, working experience, or personal projects. Areas of coverage include Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and security.
FAQ:
Q: How is a product manager different to a project manager?
A: Product managers are expected to be more involved in setting the direction of the products, defining business requirements for our clients and weighing in on judgement calls for strategic decisions such as design, SOPs and tech infrastructure. Here in Zero One Technology, we prefer working in leaner, self-organising teams, so there is less emphasis on formal project management processes (such as PRINCE2/PMBOK) and more on getting things done (and no, not the course/certification).
Q: How is a product manager different to a product owner?
A: The two roles are very similar. In Zero One Technology, we would like to emphasise that we work on client projects, and the lifetime of a product is tied to the project timeline. A product owner in a typical SaaS company may work on one product for years, whereas the cycle may be shorter for product managers. It does mean that you’ll get to see a lot of projects across many domains!
