Job description for Assistant Engineer at Hitech Engineering
- Responsible for the design, calculation and drafting using AutoCad for M&E elements in buildings
- Knowledge on building code compliance and familiarity with authority submissions a plus
- Communicate with Lead Engineer for technical discussions.
- Familiar with both electrical and/or mechanical engineering design elements and building codes such as ELECTRICAL/ELV/LIGHTNING PROTECTION/ACMV/PLUMBING/SANITARY/FIRE PROTECTION; Must be willing to learn otherwise.
- Prepare design drawings including schematics and layouts
- Perform basic engineering calculation
- Perform administrative work assigned by Lead Engineer related to project.
- Attend site meetings on behalf of Lead Engineer as and when necessary
- Training will be provided for willing individuals with the right credentials and attitude
Requirement
- NITEC certification or equivalent; Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 2 years in relevant working experience in the construction industry a plus
- Fresh graduates with industry experience may apply
- Proficiency in AutoCad, MS Excel, MS Word a must
- Able to read architecture / structural / M&E drawings
- Self-motivated, independent individual who enjoys working from home.
- Adhere to deadlines
- Willingness to take the initiative to communicate with the team during work hours
- Neat and detail oriented
- 5 day work week; 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
