Job description for Technical Officer (Polymer) at SETSCO

Roles and Responsibilities

Liaising with clients on scheduling for on-site sampling and testing.  

Perform sampling and testing on site

Support engineers with sample preparation and laboratory testing

Understanding test methods, specifications, and acceptance criteria

Record, analyze, and verify test results accurately in laboratory logs or systems.

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and quality standards at all times.

Conducting searches on identified test and read the standard

Ensure delivery of the test schedule and result on time

Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Requirements

Minimum Diploma or Nitec/Higher Nitec in Engineering (Mechanical, Polymer or Chemical Process)

Proficient in Microsoft office

Comfortable to work at height (good to have WAH certification)

Possess Class 3 license (good to have)

Willing to work overtime or on weekends when needed

Able to work independently or as a team
