About the role

The Night Desk Dealer is responsible for executing equity trades across global markets during night trading hours, ensuring accurate order execution, providing market information to clients, and supporting trading operations while maintaining compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.

Key responsibilities

Execute buy and sell orders for equities and related products in overseas markets accurately and efficiently.

Monitor market movements, news, and corporate announcements affecting client portfolios and trading activities.

Provide timely market updates, trading ideas, and execution support to clients and trading representatives.

Ensure all trades are executed in accordance with client instructions, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

Monitor client accounts for trading limits, margin requirements, and settlement obligations.

Liaise with counterparties, brokers, custodians, and internal departments to resolve trading and settlement issues.

Handle client enquiries related to trading, market information, and account matters during night trading hours.

Maintain accurate records of trading activities and ensure proper documentation of client instructions.

Assist in managing operational and market risks associated with trading activities.

Support system testing, process improvements, and other ad-hoc duties assigned by management.

Key requirements

Diploma or Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.

Relevant dealing representative license and regulatory certifications as required.

Minimum 1–3 years of experience in equities dealing, brokerage, trading operations, or financial markets.

Good understanding of global equity markets, market regulations, and trading practices.

Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.

Proficient in trading platforms, Microsoft Office applications, and market information systems.

Willingness to work permanent night shifts, including public holidays when required.

Experience dealing in U.S., European, or other international equity markets (preferred).

Familiarity with margin trading, securities financing, and market risk management (preferred).

Working hours

Night shift aligned with overseas market trading hours.

May be required to work on rotating schedules, weekends, or public holidays based on business needs.
