Overview

The Manager, Audio Visual (AV) is responsible for overseeing AV operations across The Kallang, ensuring high-quality of AV services for events and daily operations. This role also serves as the subject matter expert for the National Stadium sound system, leading its operation, optimisation and coordination with event hirers to deliver exceptional in-stadium audio experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

AV Operations and Technical Leadership

Lead and manage day-to-day AV operations across The Kallang.

Ensure reliable setup, operation, and troubleshooting of AV systems for live events, including audio, video, and LED display systems.

Oversee operation of large-scale systems such as LED giant screens, ribbon boards, and venue-wide audio systems.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to the AV team during major events and complex setups.


National Stadium Sound System Management

Act as key owner and operator of the National Stadium’s advanced sound system.

Plan, coordinate, and execute sound system configurations for events, ensuring optimal audio quality and coverage.

Work closely with hirers, production teams, and broadcast partners to deliver customised audio solutions.

Continuously assess and optimise system performance, ensuring best-in-class sound experience for audiences.


Stakeholder and Client Management

Serve as liaison for hirers on AV and sound system requirements, including advanced audio setups.

Provide professional consultation and technical advice to event organisers.

Manage and resolve issues effectively during event planning and live execution.


Planning and Coordination

Lead resource planning, including manpower deployment and scheduling for events.

Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and vendors on pre-event checks, system setup, and maintenance programmes.

Ensure all AV requirements across venues are aligned and executed efficiently


Asset and Technology Management

Oversee AV inventory management, ensuring proper tracking, maintenance, and lifecycle planning.

Drive evaluation, recommendation, and procurement of AV systems and technologies, including audio innovations.

Stay updated on industry trends and emerging AV solutions to enhance venue capabilities.


Process Improvement and Compliance

Develop and implement SOPs, workflows, and best practices for AV operations.

Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and service quality.

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and operational standards.


Team Leadership and Development

Lead, mentor and develop a team of AV professionals.

Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement

Build technical competency within the team, especially in advanced sound systems


Additional Responsibilities

Provide operational support during events, including after-hours, weekends and public holidays.

Undertake additional duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications

Degree or diploma in Engineering, Audio Engineering, or a related discipline.

Minimum 8–10 years of relevant AV or live event experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

Experience supporting large-scale venues, stadiums, or major live events is highly preferred.

Strong and proven expertise in professional audio systems, large-scale AV environments, and live event operations.

Hands-on experience with advanced sound system design, tuning, and operation.

Familiarity with Dante audio networking, digital mixing systems, and signal processing.

Knowledge of LED display systems and basic broadcast workflows is advantageous.

Strong leadership and decision-making skills in high-pressure environments.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.

Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail.

Ability to balance technical depth with operational execution.

Willing to work on weekends, public holidays and irregular hours
