Job description for Low‑Code Application Developer at Kyndryl
Responsibilities:
Development and Delivery
Design and Build: Develop, test, and deploy robust automation solutions using a combination of platforms (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism) and Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), based on business requirements.
Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with business users and stakeholders across divisions to gather, analyse, and document business process requirements suitable for automation and low-code solutions.
Process Mapping: Create detailed process maps and Solution Design Documents (SDD) to ensure alignment between business needs and the technical solution across RPA and low-code implementations.
Quality Assurance: Support system testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure automation solutions (bots, apps, and workflows) are accurate, reliable, and perform as expected.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date technical documentation for all developed automation solutions, including bots, apps, and workflows.
Consultancy: Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on RPA and Power Platform capabilities, feasibility, best practices, and potential business impact of automation initiatives.
Citizen Development and Training
Engagement: Actively support organisation's in-house programme by guiding staff in developing automations using specific tools and Microsoft Power Platform.
Training Assistance: Assist in the development of training materials, guides, and workshops to onboard and upskill citizen developers in low-code and automation tools.
Governance: Ensure that citizen-developed solutions (bots, apps, and workflows) adhere to the competency centre’s governance, security, and quality standards, including Power Platform governance practices.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Hands-on Experience:
– Development experience with platforms (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism)
– Development experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
Certifications (preferred for senior positions):
– Microsoft Power Platform Certification (PL-900, PL-100, PL-400, etc)
– UiPath RPA Associate / Developer Certification (or equivalent)
Technical Knowledge:
– Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies
– Basic knowledge of APIs, data integration, and cloud-based platforms
– Familiarity with governance and security practices for low-code platformsP
