Technical support to customers within the SMT and Semiconductor industries across Singapore and the Asia region. This position is responsible for the installation, configuration, commissioning, and ongoing support of the company's products, with a strong focus on software implementation and system optimization.

Beyond technical expertise, the role requires commercial awareness to identify opportunities for software upgrades, additional system capabilities, and value-added service offerings. Operating with a high degree of independence, the FSE serves as a trusted technical advisor and represents the company professionally at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver advanced on-site and remote technical support to customers in SMT and semiconductor manufacturing environments.

Install, configure, commission, and validate both hardware and software systems.

Perform preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, system upgrades, and equipment relocations.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex software, hardware, and process-related issues to maximize equipment uptime and minimize production downtime.

Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex field service issues.

Support customers during equipment start-up, production ramp-up, and post-installation stabilization.

Identify opportunities for software enhancements, system upgrades, optional features, and service solutions while working with customers.

Provide primary customer support within Singapore while delivering regional support across Asia, including travel on short notice when required.

Collaborate closely with Sales, Applications, Product Support, and R&D teams to drive issue resolution and continuous product improvement.

Requirements:

Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.

At least 8 years of field service or technical support experience within the SMT and/or Semiconductor industry.

Strong hands-on experience with SMT production equipment; experience with inspection systems such as SPI, AOI, or AXI is highly preferred.

Proven ability to independently manage complex customer issues, equipment installations, and system commissioning.

Solid technical expertise in software installation, configuration, system integration, and troubleshooting.

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Self-motivated with a high level of accountability, initiative, and customer focus.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
