Job description for Engineering Technician (Electrical & Automation) at Fraser and Neave

A.    Electrical System

1.     Ensure smooth operation of electrical system

·       Routine inspection of the HT & LT switchgears and transformers

·       Routine inspection of the Distribution Board and other electrical systems.

·       Attend to LEW (assistant) on routine inspection and assist in annual shutdown maintenance of the HT & LT switchgears and transformers

2.     Trouble Shooting

·       Attend to power trip.

·       Attend to any electrical equipment repair

3.     Preventive Maintenance

·       Assist Engineer/supervisor in annual shut down maintenance of the HT & LT switchgears and transformers.

·       Attend to contractor in annual inspection of electrical system by infrared.

4.     Solar PV

·       Attend to contractor on the periodic maintenance and servicing of the solar PV system


B.    Automation and Instrumentation

1.     Trouble shooting

·       Assist Engineer in trouble shooting of any automation and instrumentation

2.     Project

·       Assist Engineer in new project involving automation and instrumentation

3.     Calibration

·       Assist in calibration of instrumentation

4.     BMS / UMS / MES

·       Assist Engineer to attend to external vendor on servicing of BMS/UMS/MES.


Work experience requirements

·       Minimum 3 years of professional experience in electrical systems (essential)

·       Knowledge in common instrumentation (flow, temperature, pressure, pH, etc.) is preferred.

·       Knowledge in PLC is an advantage.

·       Some proficiency in autocad software is preferred
