Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading and managing Automation and IT function, ensuring the right resources with appropriate skills and capabilities to always meet functional goals.
- System owner for Industrial 4.0 and digital manufacturing automation system includes ERP, MES, BMS, ASRS, and respective production machine PLCs or automatic devices.
- Support installation, commissioning, acceptance testing, system verification, and resolving any technical issues that arise during different phases of capital project.
- Jointly develop integrated test requirements between systems and lead the testing.
- Develop protocol and perform automation system installation and operation verification.
- Manage and deliver automation and IT projects during the commercial phase which includes developing project scope, cost estimates, scheduling, engineering, implementation, testing, and verification.
- Develop the required maintenance strategy & task; establish and execute automation and IT system maintenance, functional testing, and instrument calibration program.
- Identify and manage critical spare parts in supporting routine production.
- Develops automation-related SOPs.
- Responsible for routine Automation & IT systems maintenance, repair, functional testing, and instrument calibration activities to achieve agreed service level KPIs.
- Responsible for maintenance planning, execution, and adherence to schedule.
- Perform troubleshooting/ investigation for any disruption/ failure. Recommend and follow up with the corrective action/preventive action (CAPA) to eliminate similar disruption/ failure.
- Provide training to end users on the process control system.
- Identify and lead automation projects to increase efficiency or machine/process capability.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements, ISO standards, EHS standards, and other relevant policies/standards.
- Ensure workplace safety and be responsible for notifying Management in a timely manner of EHS/GMP deficiencies.
- Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.
