Job Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end analytical support on live transactions, including IPOs, M&A, and strategic divestitures, in coordination with global bankers. Prior experience in cross-country transactions preferable
• Conduct industry and market research: Conduct comprehensive research on industries, market trends, and competitors to provide valuable insights and assist clients in making informed investment decisions.
• Assist in due diligence processes: Support due diligence efforts by collecting, organizing, and analyzing financial and non-financial data, conducting industry research, and preparing due diligence reports!
• Develop financial models: Build and maintain complex financial models, including valuation models, merger models, and scenario analyses, to evaluate investment opportunities and assess potential risks and returns
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with internal teams, such as Presentations, Data Research and Compliance, to ensure seamless coordination and effective execution of projects and client requirements
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity: Verify and validate data used in financial models and analysis, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established methodologies and industry standards
• Support deal execution: Assist in the execution of transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, and debt/equity financing, by providing analytical support, preparing transaction-related documentation
• Foster client relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients by delivering exceptional service, addressing their needs, and providing insightful and actionable recommendations based on thorough analysis and industry expertise
• Continuously improve processes and methodologies: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization of analytical methodologies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall service quality.

Where are we located?

The work location shall be in Singapore

Qualification

• MBA/ MS in Finance, or graduation from an institute of repute. Additional CFA qualification would be ideal
• 2-4 years of direct experience supporting live investment banking transactions(IPO, M&A, capital markets, or leveraged finance)
• Prior experience preparing client-ready materials used in live deal execution or pitches
• Experience working with global teams across time zones

What are we looking for?

• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills; should be comfortable working and interacting with clients across geographies
• Deep rooted understanding of financial concepts relating to financial statement analysis (including detailed understanding of IFRS 16, GAAP vs. non-GAAP),inter-linkages among the three financial statements and the ability to interpret the same
• Hands on experience with valuation techniques involving company comparable analysis, precedent transaction analysis, DCF, LBO, DDM, WACC analysis, and football field analysis
• Prior experience of working on RFPs, deal execution, due diligence
• Highly proficient in data sources like FactSet, RWIB, Euromonitor, Nielsen, Alpha Sense and Finster
• Given that the role will be sector-agnostic, prior experience in multiple industry groups will be ideal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and deliver high quality materials meeting client critical deadlines, often on areal-time basis
