Quality Inspector (Casting & Welding)
Job Description:
- Perform inspection on casting and welding products to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Identify and report defects (casting defects such as porosity, shrinkage, cracks, and welding defects)
- Conduct visual inspection and dimensional checks
- Monitor welding processes and ensure proper procedures are followed
- Review inspection reports and maintain proper documentation
- Coordinate closely with Production and Quality Control teams
- Ensure all products meet required specifications before release
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma (D3) in Mechanical / Metallurgical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in casting and/or welding inspection
- Strong understanding of casting defects and welding defects
- Familiar with measuring tools (caliper, micrometer, etc.)
- Understanding of welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, etc.)
- Knowledge of standards (AWS, ASME, or equivalent)
- Certification in Welding Inspection (CWI) or NDT is an advantage
- Detail-oriented, disciplined, and strong analytical skills
