1. Customer Service & Greeting
Welcoming Guests: Greet guests warmly upon arrival, establish eye contact, and escort them to their assigned tables.
Guest Relations: Build a professional relationship and attend to special needs, such as highchairs or accommodating dietary restrictions.
Complaint Resolution: Address customer concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the supervisor when necessary.
2. Order Taking & Menu Knowledge
Menu Expertise: Possess a thorough knowledge of food and beverage menus. Be ready to explain ingredients, portion sizes, and preparation methods.
Suggestive Selling: Offer menu recommendations, upsell additional products, and promote daily specials.
Taking Orders: Take accurate food and drink orders (manually, via order slips, or using POS Ordering Software).
Communication: Relay order details clearly to the kitchen and bar staff, noting any allergies or special requests.
3. Table Setup & Maintenance (Mise en Place)
Preparation: Prepare tables before service by setting up clean linens, silverware, glassware, and condiments.
Bussing Tables: Clear dirty plates, glasses, and silverware, and transport them to the dishwashing area.
Resetting: Reset tables quickly and efficiently as soon as guests leave to prepare for the next customers.
4. Serving & Billing
Serving: Serve food and drink orders to the table in a timely and courteous manner.
Quality Checks: Check on guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and ask if they need anything else.
Billing & Payments: Generate and prepare the check, present it upon request, and collect bill payments (cash, card, or digital).
5. Hygiene & Safety Standards
Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe dining room and service station area.
Sanitation: Follow all health department regulations, food safety handling measures, and personal hygiene guidelines.
Briefings: Attend daily pre-shift meetings to review service specifications, reservations, and menu changes
