Job description for Video Editor & Graphic Design at Social Spark Bali
We’re looking for a social-first Video Editor who understands how content actually performs on Instagram, TikTok, and short-form platforms — not just how to cut clips.
This role is for someone who can turn raw footage into high-retention, visually strong social content, and knows what makes people stop scrolling.
Responsibilities:
- Edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and other social platforms
- Create strong hooks, pacing, and endings that increase watch time
- Apply clean, consistent color grading aligned with brand identity
- Add motion graphics, text animations, and visual accents where needed
- Work with talking-head footage, lifestyle/B-roll, and brand visuals
- Collaborate with strategists and content leads to execute social concepts accurately
- Adapt edits based on performance insights and platform trends
- Advanced in using AI tools to improve workflow and output. e.g. AI-assisted editing, captioning, ideation, transcription, upscaling, or visual support tools
Requirements:
- Strong portfolio showing social media video work (Reels / TikTok / Shorts)
- Proven experience editing for engagement and retention, not just aesthetics
Solid skills in:
- Video editing (Premiere Pro / Final Cut / DaVinci Resolve or similar)
- Good English proficiency (at minimum strong listening & reading skills to understand brief & content)
- Color grading
- Motion graphics and text animation (After Effects or equivalent)
- Clear understanding of:
- Social media formats & ratios
- What works on social today (hooks, pacing, captions, trends)
- Detail-oriented with good visual taste and timing
Plus point:
- Experience as a Graphic Designer (thumbnails, carousels, static posts)
- Familiar with brand guidelines and visual systems
- Ability to create simple design assets to support video content
