Job Description
- We are seeking a capable Utility Engineer to support the design, operation, troubleshooting, and optimization of factory utility and infrastructure systems for a plastic recycling manufacturing facility.
- This role is responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of utility systems, including water supply and treatment, compressed air, cooling systems, electrical distribution support, and other process utilities. The Utility Engineer will identify operational issues, perform engineering calculations, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and implement technical improvements to enhance system reliability, efficiency, and sustainability.
- The ideal candidate has strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a hands-on engineering approach, and the ability to execute utility improvement projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support safe and continuous plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize utility systems such as water treatment, WWTP/ETP, cooling systems, pumps, compressed air, ventilation, chillers, cooling towers, and drainage systems
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and develop permanent engineering solutions.
- Analyze fluid flow, pressure loss, pump sizing, heat transfer, and process bottlenecks
- Lead factory improvement projects to improve process, energy and water efficiency, reliability, reduce downtime and reduce manpower,
- Prepare technical documents including P&ID, Utility layouts, equipment specifications, technical calculations and evaluations.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal departments
- Support operational troubleshooting and engineering improvements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in industrial utilities, manufacturing/process engineering, or factory infrastructure
- Preferably experienced in recycling, plastic manufacturing, heavy industry, or water treatment systems
- Strong understanding of pumps & piping, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, utility systems, ventilation, and industrial water treatment
- Able to perform engineering calculations, technical analysis, and RCA investigations
- Willing to working in Jonggol, Kabupaten Bogor, Jawa Barat
