Job description for Ukulele Instructor at Metropolitan YMCA Singapore
We are looking for passionate freelance musicians with a love a for teaching to join the Metropolitan YMCA and inspire young minds through the joy of ukulele music.
Job Responsibilities
- Inspire and engage children aged 5-12 years through conducting lively ukulele lessons.
- Teach at various locations with our well-crafted and guided lesson plans.
- Ensure lessons align with our core values and policies.
- Assess and document children’s progress each term, culminating in milestone showcases to celebrate their achievements.
- Maintain high standards of safety and hygiene during classes.
- Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Maintain and care for all assigned ukuleles.
Requirements:
Skilled in playing the ukulele, preferably with formal training or certification.
Passionate about educating children and making learning fun.
Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience preferred.
Willing to travel to various centres across Singapore.
MOE and PA-registered are a plus.
Rates
Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Freelance
Salary: $50.00 - $80.00 per hour
Schedule: Flexible hours
