Job description for Transmission Engineer at PT. MITRA TELEINFORMATIKA PERKASA
Responsibilities/Duties:
Implement, maintain, and administer IT infrastructure and related computing environment including computer hardware, software, and related documentation in accordance with IT best practices.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other system problems, and replace defective components when necessary and subject to available resources.
Interface with customer, technical staff, team members, and management to identify issues, negotiate changes, meet deadlines, and provide strong customer service both orally and in writing, as appropriate.
Keep customer informed of how and when problems are resolved.
Involved in any additional follow up, testing and troubleshooting.
After-hours / weekend work as required.
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering with specialization in telecommunication, or equivalent working experience.
1-2 years of experience in Optical Network project (experience with Huawei product is preferred).
Familiar with DWDM principle.
Experience with DWDM network monitoring (experience with Huawei U2000 system is preferred).
Huawei Transmission Certification is preferred.
Able to implement statistical methods for problem solving.
Ability to work independently and as a team member to solve difficult technical challenges on a global scale.
Ability to handle multiple complex tasks, with tight deadlines concurrently.
