Job description for Trade Support Analyst (Aluminium) at CA Search Pte Ltd
SUMMARY
This role will support the Aluminum desk and provide traders with market analysis, positions reconciliation and internal applications. You will work closely with middle office, trade operations and front office to facilitate communication.
THE ROLE
Front desk support
Support trading activities for Aluminum according to The Policy and within approved trading limits.
Reconcile positions sheets and contracts (physical / derivatives contracts).
Support LME/FX hedging for internal and external counterparts.
Assist to manage credit risk limits and work on new applications for our counterparts.
Manage external and internal stakeholder engagements in Asia and globally.
Assist HQ in the oversight and coordination of regional offices.
Monitor and take necessary initiatives to in-place a control over the commercial/credit risks/market risks.
Take responsibility for assigned trading / operations and seek necessary approvals in compliance to the company policies and guidelines.
Collaborate and assist operational team on day-to-day logistical matters.
Reconcile stock reports and help manage inventory/cargo allocation in various markets.
Take initiatives in supporting colleagues outside of assigned markets to enhance the total value/trading portfolio of the global Aluminum team.
Complete credit line applications and warehouse credit line (consignment line) applications.
Initiate new counterpart KYC procedure.
Contribute to ad-hoc new system developments together with middle office colleagues.
Compliance
Ensure all activities comply with company guidelines and policies. Ensure all relevant Laws and Taxes are adhered to and met.
Prepare various reserve and supporting documents required for trade internal control.
Liaise with legal and compliance department and complete counterparty registration applications including AML, KYC and company registrations into system where applicable.
Liaise with legal and compliance department, prepare Security Trade Control (STC) documents and ensure STC compliance.
Liaise with legal and compliance department, prepare AEO documents, resolve various AEO issues and ensure AEO compliance if it is applicable.
Liaise with accounting department to resolve indirect and direct tax issues and ensure TAX compliance.
Liaise with accounting department in relation to accounts treatment and ensure correct accounting treatments
Liaise with Strategy and Coordination department and prepare Country Risk Control documents, resolve various Country Risk Control issues and ensure compliance with requirement of Country Risk Control.
Intelligence reporting
Report and share information on a regular basis to all related parties within the company.
Create respective reports as required by head of commodity on an ad-hoc basis.
Ensure all members of trade team input data into relevant systems accurately & timely.
Others
Proactively create new reports, if necessary, in order to improve the desk efficiency.
Establish strong relationships within the office through interaction and teamwork among all colleagues.
Perform other related duties as required during working hours.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor in Business in International Trade or with relevant subject
2-5 years of relevant experience in Commodities Trading
Familiar with trading cycle (flow of international trading, L/C, Security Trade Control, Internal Control).
Knowledge of handling B/Ls, L/Cs etc.
