About the Role
Huang He Consultancy is delivering a high-level government delegation's visit to Bangkok and Lat Krabang, Thailand (21–22 October 2026), covering meetings with Thailand's Ministry of Transport/Department of Rail Transport and the Thai Customs Department, and a full-day site visit to Lat Krabang Inland Container Depot. We need a professional consecutive interpreter for all official meetings and site visits over these two days.
Responsibilities
● Provide English ↔ Thai consecutive interpretation across all official government meetings, working lunches, and the Lat Krabang site visit on 21–22 October
● Attend an optional pre-briefing on 20 October to align on delegation background, terminology (customs, rail logistics, trade facilitation), and protocol expectations
● Maintain accuracy and neutrality in a formal, senior-government setting
● Be available for the full two working days (no partial-day substitutions)
Requirements
● Professional-level fluency in Thai and English
● Prior experience with consecutive interpretation in government, diplomatic, or corporate-delegation settings strongly preferred
● Comfortable with technical/trade-policy vocabulary (customs, AEO frameworks, rail logistics, inland container depot operations) — a short glossary will be provided in advance
● Professional, discreet, punctual — this is a confidential, senior-delegation engagement
Compensation
● Day rate: proposed SGD350/day for the two working days (21–22 October)
● Optional pre-briefing on 20 October compensated at a pro-rated half-day rate
● Hotel accommodation will be provided for the on-ground days
● NDA required before onboarding
