Job description for System Engineer at Unipec Singapore Pte Ltd
This role is responsible for the overall IT strategy and all computer systems, phone system and related facility within Unipec Singapore. As well as being responsible for policing Unipec’s quality standards strategic IT planning.
The main remit will be managing Unipec’s ICT technology infrastructure covering support, administration & maintenance of the servers & network; overseeing installations and upgrades (software and hardware); IT security (application and infrastructure); ensuring systems back-ups; and negotiating & purchasing hardware, software, licences and outsourced IT services.
Responsibilities
• Manages treasury transactions processing, including loans and settlement
• Responsible for collect and analysis business request and liaison with HQ ERP project team to implement Sinopec group new ERP system in Singapore office
• Responsible for work with HQ bridge team to support current ERP bridge system and responsible for current ERP risk system work smoothly
• Responsible for ICMS administrator for Unipec Singapore to maintain and support the system.
• Ensuring the smooth running of all ICT systems, including anti-virus software; email & video conferencing provision; print services
• Ensuring the security of data from internal and external attacks
• Manages and maintains the day-to-day IT security operations and system change lifecycle of our critical security devices and tools
• Ensuring that software licensing laws are adhered to
• Scheduling upgrades and security back-ups of hardware and software systems
• Installing, maintaining and supporting data/voice communication networks within an organization or between organizations
• Managing, troubleshooting and documentation on:
- Network Topologies, Routing Technologies, Wireless LAN
- Network Services and Security – DNS, DHCP, Firewall, Access Protection, Intrusion Prevention
- Network protocol, Address, and subnet allocation
- IP Telephony System and voice record system
- Disaster recovery
• Quality audit on network security and traffic
• Planning and implementing future IT developments and undertaking project work
• Maintain email server
• Responsible for daily system backup
• Installation, configuration, administration of PC
• Coordinate with HQ IT team to implement HQ IT policy and HQ IT system
• Keeping up to date and abreast of the latest technologies
• Manage external third party IT provider, attend and manage regular SLA meetings, negotiate contracts
• Regular review and update the IT disaster recovery plan
• Mentoring and training users
Requirements
• Background in the oil & gas, commodities industry or Bank is preferred
• Good verbal & written English and Chinese mandarin communication skill
• Strong analytical skill
• Minimum 2-3 years experience in Windows 2019/2016/2012 Server, network, email security
• Good knowledge in Windows operating systems, email server and Citrix
• Strong working experience in the following areas:
- LAN, WAN, VLAN, based on Ethernet Technologies
- TCP/IP, IP routing, Routing protocol (OSPF, BGP)
- IP Telephony preferably with Alcatel-Lucent product experience
- Email system and network security control
