About the Role
MOO Group is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Litigation Staff with a strong background in litigation and dispute resolution, particularly within the healthcare industry, including hospitals, clinics, and healthcare service providers.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience handling healthcare-related legal disputes, regulatory matters, consumer complaints, and litigation. This role requires the ability to independently manage legal cases, mitigate legal risks, and work closely with internal stakeholders, external legal counsel, and relevant authorities across MOO Group entities in multiple countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage litigation and dispute resolution matters, including civil, commercial, employment, consumer, debt recovery, and lease or property disputes.
- Handle healthcare-related litigation, patient or consumer complaints, regulatory disputes, and other legal matters involving clinics, healthcare service providers, and optical businesses.
- Draft, review, and respond to legal notices (somasi), complaints, pleadings, legal opinions, settlement agreements, and other legal correspondence.
- Represent or accompany the Company in negotiations, mediation, court proceedings, Industrial Relations Court (PHI) cases, and arbitration proceedings, including BANI.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel to develop litigation strategies, monitor case progress, and ensure effective handling of legal disputes.
- Handle regulatory inquiries and complaints involving healthcare and optical services, including coordination with the Ministry of Health, local health offices, and other relevant authorities.
- Manage debt recovery and enforce contractual rights against business partners, vendors, tenants, and other counterparties.
- Maintain an updated litigation and dispute register, including case status, risk assessments, deadlines, and recommended actions.
- Identify potential legal risks in business activities and agreements and recommend preventive measures to minimize disputes.
- Prepare regular litigation reports and provide clear updates on material legal risks and case developments to the Legal & Corporate Affairs Lead.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law (S.H.); a Master's degree in Law is an advantage.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in litigation and dispute resolution, gained in a law firm, as in-house counsel, or in a comparable legal role.
- Demonstrated experience handling legal cases or disputes involving hospitals, clinics, healthcare service providers, or other healthcare-related businesses is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience dealing with healthcare-related disputes, patient or consumer complaints, healthcare regulatory matters, and coordination with relevant authorities is a strong advantage.
- Valid advocate license from PERADI or an equivalent recognized professional organization.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian civil procedure, commercial disputes, industrial relations (PHI), consumer protection, and relevant healthcare regulations.
- Proven experience handling somasi, mediation, court proceedings, and dispute negotiations, with exposure to arbitration (BANI) preferred.
- Strong legal drafting, case analysis, negotiation, and dispute management skills in Bahasa Indonesia; proficiency in English for legal and business communication is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple cases independently, prioritize deadlines, and communicate legal risks and recommendations clearly to management.
- Experience in healthcare retail, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or other regulated industries will also be considered.
