Position Summary: The Senior Sales Manager is a key member of the hotel's sales and marketing team, responsible for generating business from corporate accounts and travel agents to achieve overall sales targets and objectives outlined in the Sales & Marketing Plan.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth
• Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and other potential clients
• Set and achieve sales targets as outlined in the Sales & Marketing Plan
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges
Client Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients
• Act as the main point of contact for client inquiries and concerns
Proposal and Contract Negotiation:
• Prepare and present proposals to clients, showcasing the hotel's offerings
• Negotiate contracts and terms with clients to secure business agreements
• Conduct market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and industry trends
• Provide regular feedback to the management team on market conditions and competitor activities
• Deliver effective sales presentations to potential clients, highlighting the hotel's unique selling points
• Participate in trade shows, conferences, and industry events to promote the hotel
Collaboration with Internal Departments:
• Coordinate with various internal departments, such as operations and reservations, to ensure seamless guest experiences
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns
• Prepare and submit regular sales reports to the management team
• Analyze sales performance and propose strategies for improvement
• Manage the sales budget effectively, ensuring that expenses are within approved limits
• Provide input into the budgeting process based on market insights
Team Leadership and Training:
• Lead and mentor junior members of the sales team
• Conduct training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the sales team
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related field
• Minimum 4 years experience and above
• Proven experience in hotel sales, with a focus on corporate accounts
• Strong understanding of the hospitality industry and market trends
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Results-oriented with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
• Willingness to travel for business purposes, if required
